Featured Artist: Paul Catanese
Over the past ten years, Paul Catanese has developed hybrid image-making techniques at the intersection of emerging technologies and traditional printmaking. Presented here are results from a recent series of experiments: Stones & Drones, which erupts from his use of drones as an art material, developed in collaboration with David Jones & Chris Flynn at Anchor Graphics. In these experiments, assorted mark-making instruments such as brushes, crayons, chain, and condiment bottles altered to continuously drip are suspended from a quadcopter drone to create drawings.
